About NPIS

How NPIS Gets Paid

Transparency was a strong part of the original NPIS site. We are keeping it and making it clearer.

Our property-sales remuneration

Where NPIS is engaged in a property sale, the seller, developer or selling party may pay a real estate sales commission or referral remuneration. The exact arrangement can vary by property and transaction.

What that means for buyers

You should understand who pays NPIS and whether any commercial relationship exists with the seller, developer, builder, marketer, finance provider or another party connected with a transaction.

Research should still stand on its own

A commission is not evidence that a property is suitable. We aim to assess each opportunity against market evidence, property fundamentals and price comparables, and to explain the material risks and assumptions.

Independent advice remains yours

Buyers should use their own solicitor or conveyancer, finance professional, tax adviser and building/inspection professionals as appropriate. You are not required to use a related service provider simply because NPIS introduces one.

Before you proceed: ask us to explain the remuneration and any referral relationship relevant to the particular property you are considering.
